The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education at The Citadel prepares aspiring school counselors to support students’ academic, social and emotional development at the elementary or secondary level. Designed for adults entering the K–12 education system, the program combines rigorous coursework with extensive, real-world experience through a 600-hour supervised internship. Graduates earn both a master’s degree and eligibility for state licensure, equipping them to make a meaningful, lasting impact in schools and student communities.
