The Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in School Psychology at The Citadel is designed for individuals committed to creating positive, lasting change. Grounded in the scientist-practitioner model, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and ethical foundation needed to serve as effective school psychologists across educational and clinical settings. Through immersive practicum experiences, internships and applied research, students gain hands-on preparation for professional practice. Fully approved by the South Carolina Department of Education and accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), the program provides a clear pathway to School Psychologist II certification and prepares graduates for careers in schools, private practice, hospitals, community agencies or advanced doctoral study.
